It's Officially Official!!!

As you know, Thursday was day 15 of the waiting period. Today we only visited with Caleb for about 40 minutes because we had to do some other things. Janet was able to extend our visas until April 6th. Then we went to the Vital Statistics office to get Caleb's birth certificate and adoption certificate that both state that Brad and I are Caleb Roman Aldridge's parents! YIPPEE!!!
We got to hold those two certificates in our hands about two minutes before Janet had to take them from us. She needs them in order to get Caleb's passport which will take about another week. Then, we'll wait for his visa, which will be another 2 or 3 days. We're confused as to whether we go to Almaty or stay in Taraz to wait for his Visa. Assyra said we would wait in Taraz, then go to Almaty for 3 days before coming home. We don't see why we can't go to Almaty while waiting for the visa and get the other things done in Almaty at the same time. (We're checking on this with our agency in the US.) We are also checking into when we can bring him to the hotel with us.

Today during our very brief visit, Caleb came in with a pink bunny hat with ears on his head. It was funny. We took a picture, and then Brad promptly took it off.

CONTRATULATIONS!!! You guys must be flying high. Caleb is so adorable and you guys look great. What a wonderful family you ARE. It won't be long now and you can come home. Enjoy the rest of the time there. You can relax after all they have put you through. When do you plan to visit Kazakhstan again?? I am soooo happy for you. There are so many firsts coming to all three of you like the first time he can spend the whole night with you. Have they said if he sleeps through the night? That won't make any difference. You'll probably be awake just looking at him anyway. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!! and see you soon. Love, Lanoma

Yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!1 What great news! To see it in writing must make it really real to you.It has been a long haul and you will find out how worth it it was in a short time now. Hopefully you can take Caleb to the hotel now and be a family for the rest of the time. That will be good in the long run because you will have a chance to really get to know each other before the long trip home. We can't wait to see him in person. Well the Spurs are playing the Magic and they are winning. In the morning we are going to the teacher volley ball tournament which starts at 9:00a.m. I told Lori I would come and help Trish with Makayla at the games. The only thing this may be an all day thing if they keep winning. We will see. Take Care. Give Caleb an extra hug from us. Always in our prayers Love Ginny and Gary

It's great knowing that it is official! We're so excited because that part of the process is over. Hopefully, you'll be able to spend more time with Caleb soon. The pictures are wonderful, as usual. We're still praying for a speedy return. We had supper Thursday night with Nana & Connie. We enjoyed the visit and Connie told us she is enjoying the blog and thinks that Caleb is really cute. Nana can't wait to see him, just like the rest of us. We're so happy for you and us. Lots of Love, mom & dad a.
