Well, it's official (sort of) that we are the proud new parents of Caleb Roman Aldridge! It will be officially official after the fifteen day waiting period. We were pretty nervous for court, but it didn't last very long. The judge was late due to a meeting he had earlier, so according to Assira, he didn't ask a ton of questions like he usually does. Of course, to us, it seemed like plenty of questions! The Baby House Director and one of the ladies from Guardianship Counsil spoke on our behalf. The "prosecuter" wasn't mean, like for for some reason I thought she would be. She was very young and spoke English very well.
We just wanted to let everyone know as soon as we knew that the judge approved us to adopt Caleb, but we're hungry so we're going to get some lunch! We'll visit Caleb this afternoon, so we'll have pics.

Congratulations! How exciting! So after the 15 day waiting period do you get to come home? Or is there still more things to do? Are you still having the short visits during this time? CONGRATULATIONS!! What a long ordeal but when I see those adorable pictures of Caleb, I would say it is well worth the effort. He gets cuter everytime you send pictures. Happy Valentine's Day --the most special of all. Caleb has no idea yet of how lucky he is to have you for his mommy and daddy. He has so much ahead of him after being in the baby house all this time. Happy Valentine's Day and what a wonderful day. We're so happy and glad that the Judge was nice and that part is now over. We are very proud grandparents and love little Caleb so much already.
